What little things make you happy?

Posted on Jul 18th, 2008 by riotnikki : Shakti Witch riotnikki
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 05, 2008:

Photos of kitties. Kitties. My kitty Lucy, Big dogs with cold noses that want to be hugged. Pigs that want their bellies rubbed. Pug's tails. Flowers in bloom. The ocean at night. Ketchup on french fries. A cold beer on a hot summer day. Yoga sticky mats. Clothes as soft as a baby's blanket. The Farmers Market. Ripe tomatoes. Coming up for air after a long hard cry. My mothers eyes. Wind chimes. Pears with stilton. A Welsh dresser.

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 18, 2007:

Take each moment on its own for what it is, whatever it is. To be present in that moment, good or bad. To form no attachments to the passing of each moment.

Do you believe in God?

Posted on Jul 18th, 2008 by riotnikki : Shakti Witch riotnikki
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 28, 2007:

I believe in a power of creation that I call The Goddess but essentially this would not actually be considered God or a deity. It encompasses the unknowable for me and is part of something that has no bearing on my life or the lives of others on this planet (to my belief) so I don't concern myself with it. Still I do pray to the Goddess and I use my patron Goddess of Tara and often chant her mantra.

What's the connection between midsummer and mystery?

Posted on Jun 24th, 2008 by riotnikki : Shakti Witch riotnikki
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 21, 2008:

The best Midsummer I ever had was celebrating with my mother. We went on a Faerie Walk after our ritual (we are witches) and left an offering at a big oak tree. We had woven chaplets out of herbs and flowers and wore beautiful flowing dresses and walked at dusk when the faeries were out. Except for getting bitten by mosquitos - it was pure magick!

What would you say to the person you were one year ago?

Posted on Jun 24th, 2008 by riotnikki : Shakti Witch riotnikki
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 24, 2007:

I'd say make sure you spend as much time as possible with your husband. And don't be angry so much with him over petty things because they will not matter when he's gone.
